[Spring Summer 2014 Fashion Trends] - Looking through the fashion shows of the new season, there is a strong sense that you are present on the art installation. Designers always drew their inspiration in the visual arts, but this season many of them literally transformed images of their collections into the tableaux made in many different styles. Artwork – is one of the key trends in women's clothing spring-summer 2014.
Kenzo, Tegin, Giulietta, Alexander McQueen, Preen, Valentino
It is no exaggeration if we say that the two-dimensional abstract graphics in black and white or color version can be seen at almost every fashion show. Even the masters of fashion did not deny the pleasure to play with simple geometric shapes, color suprematist graphics and Mondrian squares.
Prada, Giles, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Diane von Furstenberg
One of the most striking manifestations of the artistic trend of the new season are portraits. Whether real photos transferred to the dress or the abstract satire – they immediately attract attention and look very fresh. However, some designers are fascinated by other living nature – landscapes. Most often, the source of inspiration for these images became the romance of the ocean and tropical countries.
Celine, Blumarine, Chalayan (3,4), Chanel, Kenzo
Careless colored pencil strokes, splashes and streaks from a brush, laid out palette and sweeping traces of paint from an aerosol can - all these abstractions look like sketches, drafts, and artist’s studio. In this direction a simple abstract geometry is virtually absent, most of the images bears a subtle artistic chic.
L'Wren Scott, Aquilano.Rimondi, Marni, Dolce & Gabbana (4,5), Tory Burch
Bright floral prints are at the peak of popularity and they also have visual masterpieces such as: bright buds, subtle curves of the stem and leaves that seem to be drawn by skillful Japanese artists. These bright and sophisticated prints deservedly found their place in the gallery of the fashion Artwork trend.
Christian Dior, Givenchy, Chalayan, Preen, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou
And finally this season some designers have chosen for themselves the mastery of visual effects and blending of various artistic styles such as: contrast of ethnic pattern and suprematist graphics, bright floral prints and inscriptions, graphic design perspective enhanced by original brim.
